Based on the last artist research, we are making an new media artwork according to the works of Cory Arcangel.Our idea comes from the childhood toys and games, same as the super mario, Tamagochi is also a popular pixel game around the world, and the special thing of the Tamagochi is that the Tamagochi has it's own hardware, not using a certain platform like the super mario, that means not just the content, including the hardware itself has some particular significance. So our work also has a unique hardware.

There are two parts of our work. The picture above is the base part. It is a Tamagochi with holographic screen. Viewer can see the 3D version Tamagochi characters. The 3 bottoms are for feeding and taking care of the virtual pet. Tableware disinfection box is the another function of it.
The other part of the work is the smart spoon, it is a real tableware for human to eating with, it can be a folk or a spoon, depens on which head is installed. the core part of it is the handle part, which is the sensor and processor inside. Head part is changeble, can be a folk or spoon or other tablewares, it is also the antenna and contack points of the sensor, for collecting the information of the food we eat. Eat with this smart spoon, user can know how much calories they ate, and the nutrition factors as well, even to detect whether the food is poisonous. According to the data of user input, it can also detect whether user are allergic to the food. As it is an IoT ( Internet of Things) hardware, it can exchange the data with the base part of the Tamagochi, by using the smart spoon, user are feeding the Tamagochi pet automatically when user are eating. The health state of the Tamagochi also flowing what the user eats. Through the NFC of Bluetooth, the data can also syncing with smartphones, With big data services (there are already many APIs built-in in ios and android health apps), the smart spoon will even know which restaurant is more suitable for your today‘s lunch.
