Week 5 Night Festival

Saw a lot of works on Night festival 2016. There were shows, exhibitions, food stalls, and many interesting things. A photography work Offshore Accounts-1 by Rashid Rana in Singapore Art Museum leave me a deep impression. The work using huge number of small images to create a big image of sea surface. The form of this method is not rare these days due to the automatic functions of softwares, but the image he were using is shocked me. he uses the images of trash and some colonial ships as embellishment. This is a very ironic work, however, looking at it from a distance, it is a complete and peaceful picture. Another thing I learnt from this work is that the artist using 3 walls to put the work, the angle between each wall is about more than and 100 degrees, because of the angle, when the viewer are facing the center wall, the perspective of other 2 walls are changed, it made the work more delicate and dynamic.
