Week 4 Cory Arcangel

Cory Arcangel is an artist who using many different medias, the video game modifications are the best known form of him. He was born in 1978, New York, which is the early batch of the video game generation. He has influenced by the video artists like Nam June Paik in his early life through the gallery near his place.  His best known work is the Super Mario Clouds created 2002, it is a modified version of the Nintendo NES game Super Mario Bros. Cory has moved all the elements of the game, only left the clouds scrolling on a blue background. In consideration of the work was made in 2002, the internet even cannnot post videos these days, the pixelated image were not widely accepted by people like now, Cory is using the pixel image like a conventional image, he was trying to normalize the pixel cloud and the visual experience of video game.

I could not find any copyright issue between Nintendo and Cory Arcangel, the reason may be that his work is not a game, like Nintendo's own business.
